Episode 9 of Over-Caffeinated Dads is loaded up and ready to roll.

We kick things off with Triggered, where we dive into the world of suppressors—breaking down how they work, common misconceptions, and what you actually need to know. We also get into some of the suppressors we personally run, sharing real-world insights, preferences, and a few lessons learned along the way.

Next up in Big Reveal, we react to the brand-new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s take on The Odyssey. From cinematics to storytelling expectations, we give our honest first impressions and talk about what has us hyped—and what we’re cautiously watching.

Then it’s time to Press Play, where we talk about the games we just can’t quit. Whether it’s nostalgia, replayability, or just straight-up fun, we break down the titles we keep coming back to over and over again and why they never get old.

We wrap things up with What’s in Your Cup, featuring Black Rifle Coffee Company Kodiak Attack as the drink of choice for the episode. And of course, Nick gives a shoutout to his go-to addition—Chobani Chocolate Strawberry coffee creamer—because why not take your caffeine game to the next level?

Lock in, grab your drink, and hang out with us for another episode of laughs, opinions, and unapologetic dad energy.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, everybody. Welcome to O C D version 9.0. Episode 9.0.

SPEAKER_02

Nine.

SPEAKER_03

The Nueve.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_03

We've got some exciting stuff on today's episode. We've got uh some some cool things coming out of Triggered. We've got uh sweet trailer and big reveal, and then we've got um press play segment. We're gonna be talking about some video games. Yeah. Take it away, Jordan. I know you got some. I know you're the most excited about this one.

SPEAKER_02

I always love triggered. I mean I we could do like three segments of triggered every episode.

SPEAKER_01

And a surprising I would always have one long triggered.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, one long, one long triggered. Kind of not really get into much detail um as far as like decibels and pressure, back pressure, all that stuff. Kind of just give like a quick overview, which we could do that at some time, but the meme of the math going on behind us.

SPEAKER_03

I think the important thing-like yeah, the or the guy with the crazy hair, and he's just like connecting the dots.

SPEAKER_01

But no, the the one of the things uh I think I'll mention here at the beginning is so for those who don't know, suppressors, you have to get a tax stamp for them. Yeah. Most people don't know that you don't have to pay the $200 for that tax stamp anymore. Yep. So that went January 1st that went away. That includes that's suppressors, short barrel rifles, short barrel shotguns, any of that. You don't have to pay the extra 200 bucks for the tax stamp. You still have to do the the the paperwork, extended background. Yeah, yeah, but you you just don't have to pay that extra $200. Which is awesome. So yeah, it saves you some money. Yep. Um who doesn't like to save $200?

SPEAKER_02

I hate it actually. No, I love it. It's the worst. Yeah. Um, and actually, I think I think suppressor sales went up, obviously, because of that.

SPEAKER_01

Um NFA out NFA autumns across the board went up.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it they actually really didn't have much of a like a a delay, add added delay to their process either. Yeah. So I got mined in like a week, week and a half.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I'm sure they between the ATF and then I'm sure suppressor comp suppressor manufacturers were probably beefing up on stock, and then ATF was like, we better get ready because we're gonna get bombarded with requests, you know, come January 1st.

SPEAKER_03

Is the New Mexico seven-day thing still going on?

SPEAKER_02

Didn't it go away like temporarily for firearms? Yes. So I think these are not classified as firearms, so it's it's basically you're waiting for the ATF they work.

SPEAKER_03

And the minute that's done, you can get in. Yeah. But that could still take a week. Yeah. Right. Like it was like a week and a couple of years.

SPEAKER_01

It'll probably take longer than seven days.

SPEAKER_03

Did the but did the the gun thing, did that did it ever go away? Or did it for a little while?

SPEAKER_01

Or someone told me that. Someone said it went away for like a month and then it came back or something.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I'm not gonna say which shop here because I don't want to get them in trouble. But there was a store here that was they were honoring that because that was the law. But then they got word from they got word from their lawyers and some other people in the ATF saying like we're not gonna we're not gonna uphold it. So like um when when we bought Truitt's uh he bought a little 22 with his own money, he we got it that same day. Oh nice. So and then now they're back to it. They said, oh, do some stuff with the ATF, or we're doing that again just to play play it safe. Um so I don't know what that looks like, and of course, we're we're here in New Mexico, the gun laws are stupid. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

And they're trying to make them more stupid.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they're they're doing they're doing more stupid stuff in there.

SPEAKER_01

And then they wonder why we have state representatives trying to pass laws where counties can secede from New Mexico and become a part of a different state, i.e. Texas.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And that we they wonder why we're going to Texas to the remote.

SPEAKER_01

Let's not even go down that rabbit hole on my right. Lee County, just Texas animals. I mean it's it's kind of all that's kind of wrapped in with the whole suppressor thing, you know? Yeah. Triggered. We're triggered.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But yeah, a lot of people go to Texas to buy their rifles and stuff like that because there's no weight. Yeah. Except for when you go to Shields.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. If you go to a box store, Cabell's will be the same. Because I asked someone else out there one time. Cabel, just those big box stores are gonna be like a catalog. Oh, you're from New Mexico, so we have to ship it. With the gun in your back seat in a state where that's not a law for even though you've already paid for it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh, you would like a refund. Can you imagine if they wouldn't have given me a refund?

SPEAKER_01

Oh man, you'd be owning we'd we'd be rich, you'd be owning Shields, we'd be doing the show from like the second floor inside Shields. We'd be on the Ferrisfield right there. Why is the background moving? It's just that every time we turn around on today's episode, we'd have to have some really long cords because we've got all the cords run to we're each we're each on in different cars, and so the cords are just getting tangled as we go around. We're out of control. Anyways. Let's bring it back in.

SPEAKER_02

Let's go back to suppressors.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, suppressors.

SPEAKER_02

So uh me and Zayn have suppressors. I don't you don't have any suppressors, do you, Nick?

SPEAKER_03

Nope, but thanks for putting that out there.

SPEAKER_02

Uh Nick, you're supposed to say not yet.

SPEAKER_03

So if you break into my house, I'm shooting you loud. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We're going loud. Both of our ears are ringing.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Nick's like, nope, keep this ear mouse by the bed.

SPEAKER_02

So Zayn is a surefire guy.

SPEAKER_01

They are I there's other brands I like. That's just what I got.

SPEAKER_02

But you used them in your unit, didn't you? Or do you have cats?

SPEAKER_01

No, we we had knights. We had the N T4. And so I actually tried to look for an N T4 and I just couldn't find one in tan. Yeah, and so I went ahead and got a surefire because I could get it.

SPEAKER_02

Because that's what I was looking for too for my first suppression. I was gonna get the NT4. Yeah. And that's why I did kind of I'll show mine here in a minute. Um, but yeah, Zayn has the RC2.

SPEAKER_01

No, that one's the SB SB2. So it's technically designed for seven inches or shorter. Just the diameter of the holes a little bit bigger, but I run it on my 10.3 and my 15.5 just fine.

SPEAKER_02

Runs all the SOCOM devices, yeah. Muzzle devices.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, any of the SOCOM surefire devices.

SPEAKER_02

And if y'all don't know, I aren't familiar with SOCOM, they make very, very durable suppressors.

SPEAKER_01

Very like made for war and both my suppressors are full auto-rated because I've got that SB2 and 556, and then I have an RC2 and 762. Oh yeah, you have the for my bolt gun and my AR10.

SPEAKER_02

So you have that one and the and the 30 cal. They have the 22 cal and the 30 cal.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's right. Or not 22, but 556 caliber.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, wait, do you remember Zayn what we ran at Hobbs?

SPEAKER_01

Um the uh MCX. Well you had the MCX's first, it no, it was uh it was actually a SIG suppressor. Yeah, I mixed it. So I actually because I after I got back from firearms instructor, Seth let me build kind of build my AR a little bit different, and so I actually took one of those SIG suppressors because they just had them sitting because they switched to the MPX, which has a suppressor, it's like a four-inch barrel with a suppressor on the end, um, that's like threaded straight on. So I but I we basically we changed the muzzle brake on my SBR patrol rifle, put one of the surefire cans on it, and then I changed it out to an EOTech and we put a magnifier on it. Okay. Um but yeah, they but he I don't remember they just got some new suppressors for the um the bolt guns, because Manny and Dalton just got new bolt guns. And I don't I don't I don't remember what they got, what brand they got. They may have got Huxworks or something like that.

SPEAKER_03

And then just a gun question for somebody that's still learning about all this stuff, and in case any of the viewers don't already know the length of the suppressor doesn't count towards the length of the barrel, right? Correct. To meet standards.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Yeah, if you if you if you threaded it on and had it welded, I oh I don't even know if you could pin it. I don't even know if no, I don't know. I don't even know if that'll work because you're not gonna be able to drop a pin in it. Because no, so the pin and welded, so like they'll take you'll get a like a short barrel and the CF that's watching right now is just like they'll take it. No, they'll take they'll take uh a flash hider that's like you know two inches long because you'll have you'll have a 14-inch barrel or 14.5 inch barrel, and then they'll put like a two-inch long you know flash hider, yeah, some kind of muzzle device on it, and they'll it'll thread on, and then they literally set a pin in it and then weld that pin in place. Okay so you can't take it off. So you can't well you can because I ordered a Daniel Defense. But it's an arguably a permanent fixture. Yes, yes, unless you're a gunsmith. Like, because that's who did mine was I ordered a 14 and a half inch upper from Daniel Defense for my SBR lower, so I'd have both 10-3 and 14-5. Took it to Sharpshooters in Lubbock, they've got a couple of gunsmiths on hand.

SPEAKER_03

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

And I said, Hey, can you remove this and put this, you know, my this surefire muzzle brake on? And they were like, uh paperwork for my SBR lower, and they're like, Oh, okay, alright, alright, cool, you're good.

SPEAKER_03

I'm picturing that conversation felony long, quiet pause, dot dot dot. I have paperwork. Okay, let's carry on.

SPEAKER_02

We'll do that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. All right, Jordan, what else you got?

SPEAKER_02

Uh yeah, so I this is my first suppressor. I went with a Dead Air.

SPEAKER_01

Dead Air is a good brand. John liked them. So a really good brand. Funny enough, three, I think there's four owners of the company, if I remember correctly. One of them lives in Fort Worth. The other three live in Odessa, Texas.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, pretty close to here.

SPEAKER_01

So it's crazy. Which is why one of the suppressors is called the Odessa.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um, I really fell in love with their suppressors. I well, like we shot John's that time he came over. And uh I've just been doing a lot of research, and a lot of people are like are really praising dead air. And the gun shop here just had some, and I got to, you know, use them.

SPEAKER_01

I want to get one of their nine mils. That's what I want. Their Wolfman's pretty cool. The suppressor. Because I think you can get it, I can even get the trilogue for it, so I can actually yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Their uh their Wolfman suppressor would probably be good on your on your grasshopper mouse. Because you make it shorter, like it has has a oh, it's gonna be adjustable. And it's adjustable.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so that's that's a good thing they've been doing, is where they've got suppressors where you can kind of adjust the length on them, change the baffles out on them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, and so I really really like dead air. And as far as like sound reduction, like this one's I can shoot hearing safe. I've had a lot of buddies who feel like, dude, that's insanely quiet.

SPEAKER_01

What's that one chambered in? That's your 30 cal.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, this is the well, both of them are 30 cal. Oh, okay, okay. Um, but I'm shooting at 556. It's still and I have a question.

SPEAKER_03

What if you run again? Uh please correct me if I if this is a ridiculous question, but what if you run one that's bigger, made for us a bigger caliber on a small caliber?

SPEAKER_01

That's what he's talking about. So his are 30 caliber, so 762 basically like AK size, like 308 um size round, but he's running them on his 556 and it'll shoot through just fine. Okay. Because like I've my my 762 one that's longer, I've run it on my my 556 rifles, and it just makes them a little quieter. I mean, it's it's kind of makes them a little quieter. Um, it's not as as much as it could be because there it is still a bigger opening. But it's still I see what you're saying. Yeah, there's more baffling for that seven.

SPEAKER_03

But there's no there's no danger. The only danger would be to run the other way. Yeah, the other way.

SPEAKER_01

If I ran a 556 one on my throwaway, that'd be a bad thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and the only other danger is if if you're if your your barrel isn't concentric with your muzzle device. Yes. That's another danger because you means you're so they sell something.

SPEAKER_01

You're suppressed completely lined all the right. They sell like these aluminum rods, you basically like.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I should have brought those. I have some.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. I should have brought them. I never got any just because like I mean Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Usually when you buy them from stores and they don't if they have a different device on them, you're good. Yeah. But if you get one that has the A2, which I'll get here into here in a minute, you need to, or if you change your musical device, you need to check the concentricity of it. Yeah. Um, that is very important because I mean, most most times, like nine times out of ten, you're good. But literally, this happened. Um, my buddy got a Huxworks and we took it out, we were gonna go shoot, and right before he shot his brand new Hux, I checked his concentricity and it was off. I'm like, I'm glad we checked this. Because you would have had a of your first shot would have been a baffle strike.

SPEAKER_01

And it would have been awful. I would have felt so bad. So that there was you remember, I don't remember who it was at the at the PD. Remember they shot out this it came out the suppressor funky of one of the MCXs? I don't remember that. That happened. And I don't remember if it was it was I I can't remember if it was off because the muzzle device wasn't on right, or if it wasn't it was off because whoever had it didn't lock the suppressor down on so it was loose, so it had it like off kilter and it kind of shot and it so basically the the holes like you know it's round, but then it's got like the oblong spot where it came out this came out and made it a little bigger in one spot.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't remember who I don't remember who that was.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But no, yeah, check your concentricity if you ever get a new suppressor. I I I very those rods are very very uh expensive up front. Well, no, the pack that I got was only like 80 bucks.

SPEAKER_01

And that's if you're doing it yourself. So like if you have a gunsmith put it on, most of the time they're gonna check that for you. Like they're gonna make sure that it's not you'd be like, hey, you did this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So you owe me a new suppressor.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, but no, actually, good dead air is good about like if you get a baffle strike, they'll work with you and we'll they'll they'll do all the stuff. Um, I really like their customer service. I'm also now a two-time Dead Air owner, and they have like a little um loyalty program. I should have brought that too. But I have like a little um you get a card, a koozie, oh um, some other stuff, and the more you get, the more better stuff you get.

SPEAKER_01

Um Silencer Co gave you. Not that frequent flyer miles type thing. What'd you say? I said Silencer Co. gave me some oven mitts. Nice. Taking the suppressor. Yeah, that's really taking it out.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and hey, and that's a good thing to have too suppressor covers.

SPEAKER_01

If you don't have them, I mean make sure they're good because I've seen people that put them on there and then they're not really designed for it. They're they're more of a for looks thing because they probably bought like an airsoft version. Don't get one on Amazon. And then it melts it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, don't get one on Amazon. So get there, they're expensive for a reason.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like they're they're expensive, but that's for good reasons.

SPEAKER_01

Transition a handgun, let the suppressor hang, it's not that hot. And then the pictures of Scarlett Johansson, like a tight dress, and it's like the suppressor. When the suppressor logo burns onto your thigh. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um surefire for life. Hey, I'm not saying that, like I was uh when when I first got this suppressor, I had it on my 308, and I was letting Truit shoot a little bit, and you know, we were getting used to it. And it was a cold day, and he's like, damn, okay, I'm cold. I was like, okay, get in the truck. And I was trying to hurry because I was it was like 13 degrees outside and the wind was blowing. Why are we at the range? We were out in the middle of nowhere. He wanted to ride his dirt bike. Oh, dedication.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he also wanted to shoot guns, and so I mean I've gone when it's cold, but if it's 13 degrees, I might wait one more day.

SPEAKER_02

But no, he had just and I was trying to hurry, and I just not thinking, hand on it, felt the sizzle, and I was like, ah! I looked at my hand, and I don't know if you can see on the suppressor has these lines right here. Oh yeah. I had those lines on my for like a long time.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, that wasn't permanent.

SPEAKER_01

Excuse me, did they did they swell up and fill with the fluid? Uh they didn't get they weren't burned that bad. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

But I had to find it.

SPEAKER_03

From that.

SPEAKER_01

Well, so infantry school, we were shooting we were shooting the the M27, we were doing our the full auto drills with it, and I got a piece of brass, so I stopped firing, and I was holding that pointing down range, and I went to reach for the to get the piece of brass out of my collar, and instructor comes up, he's like, Two hands on the weapon, slaps my hand, so I just I hold it again, and then I just finished firing. Oh dude, I had a brass-shaped welt, like it filled with fluid. It looked like a piece of brass stuck on my skin. It's like the perfect shape for the 556. Yeah, I was crazy. Luckily, that didn't stay. I don't have any permanent marks from it. But yeah, that hurts.

SPEAKER_02

Hot brass hurts. Um I'll get into my my newest suppressor that I I got. I went the adaptable. I went with another dead air. Um, this one is a little bit shorter. You know, I've I got it in tan.

SPEAKER_01

What models of dead airs are these?

SPEAKER_02

So this dead air, the first one, this is the nomad. This is the titanium one, so it's super lightweight. I don't know if yeah, I'll show them. You can hold them. Wow. Yeah. Significantly. But the the the the trade-off here, I'll let you hold them too. The trade-off is on the little larger one. It's not it's not full auto rated, so I can't I can't shoot it on semi-autos, so it's for bolts. You can shoot it on semi-autos, but you have to, you know, you can't uh you can't do mag dumps.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Because that would be a good thing.

SPEAKER_02

And then uh it's also barrel restricted, so I can't shoot it on 556, nothing under 14 inches or something like that. Yeah. And then um everything else, barrel restrictions fine.

SPEAKER_01

Um that's definitely something to know, is like if you guys are getting suppressors and they're not full auto-rated, I wouldn't just be going out there trying to get back dump or or or get don't don't be getting no FRT. You will literally blow up, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You will you will blow a hole in the side of it. I've seen videos of it on YouTube. If you want to look them up, it's it's crazy what happens. But this one, this new one, it is uh if no barrel restrictions is is auto-rated. Um that first one was the Nomad uh the LTI X or something like that. Yeah. And this one is the Sandman X. It's kind of their Sandman has been one of their first first generation lines, and they've had it going for a while. So the Sandman X is they kind of wanted to put new technology into that old technology. Okay. So this is kind of one of their new designs. And actually at Shot Show, they now have another. It's not a Sandman, but it's it's um a lightweight version of this. And I want to get another one of that, but but this one I got because I wanted to put adapters on it. So this one came with we got this again. Um I don't know if you can see it very well, but this is what's called their Xeno mount, and it has like threads in there. And it's proprietary with their muzzle devices, like like most suppressors are. Yeah. Um but this and and this is what's called a hub adapter. I won't do it on camera because I don't know if YouTube will like that. So I have now taken the hub off. And so most suppressors nowadays um it'll say it's hub compatible or not hub compatible, which yours isn't hub compatible.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah, I guess you can't take their locking device off.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um, but they do they do make surefire hubs. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um that's so you can run it on a surefire muzzle device.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, correct. Yeah. So what this does what hub hub compatible is, so if you have um say you already have muzzle devices on all your rifles, you had you had them dedicated for one suppressor, but you want to switch suppressors or suppressor brands, um, you can buy their hub and you know you can put it on any suppressor that's hub compatible. So you don't have to change muzzle devices. That's pretty cool. Um, and I got this one specifically because you know most standard ARs come with A2 bird cage or bird cage flash hiders. And this is the Griffin uh bird cage uh gate lock. So this clicks onto any um mill spec A2 flash hider.

SPEAKER_03

Um and I should have brought the play that they're not doing like brand specific stuff. You know what I mean? You don't have to I mean it's to me, it's kind of like uh again, a new gun person is kind of like Holosun making gun specific um optics dots so that you don't have to worry about the plate, you don't have to worry about it's just literally this is for Glock, boom, this is for SIG, boom. You know what I mean? So that's nice that you can change it out like that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. And so um I was gonna say so yeah, like BT has their has a hub hub device, um surefire surefire, silencer co. Most major brands will have a hub adapter um to fit their muzzle devices. It's kind of like the way of the way suppressors are now. Most of them are hub compatible.

SPEAKER_01

And that's I I like that. So when you say hub compatible, does that mean like so? If I had like a silencer co, I could thread that hub adap that hub onto a silencer co suppressor if it's hub compatible? Yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so it's gonna it makes it a little bit more interchangeable. So if you want to if you want to stick with a suppressor bread, you can. Who makes the hub? So the the manufacturers do. So like Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So basically, like it's an industry standard. So like silent like Silencer Code, Dead Air, they, you know, um Huxor, they got together and said, hey, we're gonna make a hub that'll just go on to any of our suppressors, but it'll be muzzle device specific. So if you already run in one type of muzzle device, they can okay. All right, all right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so most uh you can see this this opening right here. So that's just the most suppressor companies are gonna are making it this spec. Gotcha. So silencer code that's gonna be pure fire even.

SPEAKER_01

Instead of mill spec, it's gonna be their suppressor spec.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Okay, yes. And so it's it's kind of the thing, it's it's kind of cool to see them all kind of like, okay, yeah, this is this is a good idea. And actually, Silencer Co is the one who started it. Yeah. Um, and a lot of brands are like, that's a good idea. Because I want I want your people to buy my suppressors. Yeah. I mean, that's a smart, that's a smart business move. Yeah. Um, but yeah, I like the I like I like the the dead airs. Um I've shot my buddies Hucks. Those are nice. Those are very good. They have the nice flow through design. And those are lightweight as well. Yeah. There's a lot of suppressors out there.

SPEAKER_03

Um like I have a side question.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

What about maintenance?

SPEAKER_02

Um, so there is a like a cleaning you need to do every now and then. Like I I I research it on my data because I was I was just curious.

SPEAKER_01

And most of them come with the brush you need to do it. I think come with the suppressor brush. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

So it's not something you what's the green bottle of cleaner? Is it break breakaway or I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_01

I know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_02

Like gun cleaner, gun buzzle.

SPEAKER_01

Mainly the side you really need to work, worry about cleaning that the brushes come for is the muzzle device side.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So that's the side that's you that's gonna have the most buildup. And yeah, you can actually, if you're not careful, you can get it locked on. Like I always make sure to take my suppressors off periodically, clean the muzzle device, clean the suppressor out just because you'll get that carbon buildup and it can seize it on there. So then it's it was fun until you get like someone professionally to get in there and get it off.

SPEAKER_02

I asked Zane. Um, it was probably a couple weeks ago when we talked about it. I was like, are these carbon locked on there? Because Surefire is very notorious about getting carbon locked.

SPEAKER_03

Just because you know, so if you haven't put them on there, they don't they don't take them off. It's a good idea to take it off. Yes. Give it a wipe down just yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I haven't done it on any of mine, but I'm you can see I'm obviously taking mine off all the time. Right. And switching them around.

SPEAKER_03

Um yeah, you're not leaving it on for like six months ahead of time. Yeah. Well, the the the guys from Dead Air were like Then you're like, oh cool, well now it's officially welded on, so yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The when I look well I can't talk researching it for dead air, they're kind of like, like, should we clean it? They're like, Yeah, you should clean it. Knock yourself out. Yeah, and they they just says, Oh, if you if you're gonna clean it, I mean just do it this way. And it's very simple, it's it's not a hard process. Um, but that that brand I was saying, that that battlefield or something like that, whatever they're called, it's a green bottle. And they actually we saw at Shields when we went, it's uh it comes with a pretty big bottle. You could you just dunk your suppressor in there. Oh, really? Yeah, and it comes with a big old brush and you just you just clean it, it's it's very fast, and you just let it dry out and you're good. Oh yeah. So there it there is some maintenance you need to do with it, but uh it's not like it's not as intensive as like a firearm, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Itself, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Um but yeah, I mean if if you're looking at get a suppressor, um you can reach out to us. We we have recommendations.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, if you're local, we can go to the range sometime if you want to try try something out. If you never shot one, you're not sure you want to check them out firsthand, just let us know. Yeah, surefire we can get together.

SPEAKER_02

Surefire, dead air, hucks, uh BNT makes good suppressors, silencer co makes good suppressors, yeah, um AAC. AAC. Yeah, they're making a comeback. I think actually you say that I think Palmetto's partnering with AMC AAC making suppressors now.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm waiting for Palmetto to reach out to you, Jordan. Yeah, you know what? We like all these plugs, Mr. Ellis. You want some money? Welcome to the team. Yeah, welcome to the team. Please review our stuff. Yeah, um, all right, guys. Well, we definitely went down the rabbit hole in a good way on that one.

SPEAKER_01

Heck yeah. Dude, you know, you know how we are with triggered.

SPEAKER_03

Let's move, let's move forward in the show. Next we've got the big reveal.

SPEAKER_02

So I think this episode of or this segment of Big Reveal, we're gonna look at the Odyssey, the new Odyssey by Christopher Nolan coming out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you guys were telling me about it, so now I guess we're gonna watch the trailer for it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Hope you're wearing a hat, Zane, because I can tell you're sitting down. I'm super excited for like so. My mom was my social studies teacher, or my mom taught social studies, and she was my sixth grade social studies teacher. And she did um her she she really focused on like ancient civilizations, like ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, and all that stuff, and so like Troy and all that stuff was really big. Um part of the stuff that she taught and she liked to teach. And so this is huge part of my childhood is is like the the Odyssey um stuff like that. And I'm like, I love the Odyssey. I love the Odyssey so much that you did you know that um kind of side segment, um, O Brother Where Art Thou is based on the Odyssey. Did y'all know that? I did not know that. I didn't know that either. So if you go back and watch it, like if you know the story of the Odyssey, it it parallels.

SPEAKER_03

Is O Brother Raphtel with uh George Clooney? Where they're in jail. Yep. I love that movie. It parallels the Odyssey.

SPEAKER_01

It's like a low-key, awesome movie. Hand the man the saggy bottom boys.

SPEAKER_02

Saggy bottom boys.

SPEAKER_01

Soggy bottom boys. Soggy bottom boys. Not saggy bottom books. Saggy, soggy. We same dip. I mean their overalls were sagging. Yeah. It's the soggy bottom boys. Alright, so we're doing this? Let's do this. Maybe. There we go. Universal? Oh yep.

SPEAKER_00

No one could stand between five men.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, Matt. Matt Damon, Jacked? Yeah. Good start. Did you play Odysseus? Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it wasn't Hathaway.

SPEAKER_00

Not even me.

SPEAKER_03

I love how Christopher Nolan uses all the same actors. It's like, well, you're good. You're gonna be in the rest of my movies. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

SPEAKER_00

What if I can't?

SPEAKER_03

Don't make fun of me, but the whole time I'm watching it, I'm thinking, good thing Shia LaBeouf's not in it, because he would have been like, nope, we're gonna live on a boat for like three months. And I'm also not gonna shower. Yeah, I'm not gonna shower.

SPEAKER_01

You don't do that anyways. Super method actor.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, he's and he's in he's been in the news lately with all the trouble he's been getting into.

SPEAKER_01

But so here's my question. Do you think it's gonna be part one? Yes. It's gonna be in parts? Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, no. Like, isn't there isn't there more to it?

SPEAKER_01

Well no, the Odyssey is a really long book. Like it's a long journey. It's it's a it's a and so that's why I wonder if he's gonna if it's gonna be part one. Because like I remember when Dune, when Dune first released, it did it just said Dune was coming, and then it was like at the end of it, it was like part one. This has been you know the end part one of the things.

SPEAKER_03

This is the Odyssey begins, and then it's the Dark Odyssey and the Odyssey rises. Um I did I did do a little research. Obviously, Matt Damon plays Odysseus, some other notable character or uh actors in it, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, R. Pat. It's uh aka Jordan's favorite Batman, uh Lupita Niango, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, John Bernthal, Mia Goth, John Linguizamo, and everyone's favorite Elliot Page. Do you mean Mr. Elliot Page? Zendaya. Well, duh. She's married to she's married to Spider-Man. You said Zendaya. Zendaya. I I think it isn't Zendaya, actually. Yeah, it's Zendaya. What did I say, Zendaya? Zendaya. Whatever. It's okay. Everybody knew what I meant.

SPEAKER_02

English is tough. Even she does. Words are hard. Yeah. Zendaya Holland. Um I don't I'm not I'm I hope Robert Pattison plays uh. No, if he plays Achilles, I'm gonna be mad. I'm gonna be mad. Why? What if we don't know? Achilles isn't even in the Odyssey though, I don't think. Yeah, Achilles is I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Jordan's like, I hope he plays the Trojan in the beginning when they're battling at Troy.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think in the Odyssey.

SPEAKER_03

For Jordan's sake, I hope he's on a beach and he takes an arrow right at the beginning of the movie to the forehead boom. Um I'm excited. Justice. Everything. Swear to me. Swear to me.

SPEAKER_02

Here. Here.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sure it's gonna be amazing.

SPEAKER_02

Christian Bale's not in it? No. I'd pick him over our pat. Anyways, I and saying that I'm not I'm gonna go watch it. I'm gonna watch it. Where are the drugs?

SPEAKER_03

Where are the other drugs going? I guarantee it's gonna be good.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not saying I'm kind of nervous about Matt Damon being Odysseus, but everything else for Nolan touches is gold.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Matt Damon will he'll probably surprise me, but even Oppenheimer was like six and a half hours long, but it was awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think the US government's gonna spend more money trying to rescue Matt Damon from wherever he is as Odysseus?

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Duh. That's a stupid question. No such thing as stupid questions, that's a stupid question.

SPEAKER_01

I know you've seen that meme where it's like I've determined that the US government spends entirely too much money trying to rescue Matt Damon, where it shows saving Private Ryan, uh the Martian. Yeah. And there's another one I think they show uh Interstellar. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway. Actually, I liked him in the Martian. But anyways, yeah. That one's gonna be awesome. I'm excited for when that comes out. Yeah. July 17th, in case ever anybody forgot.

SPEAKER_02

I wonder who John Bernval's gonna play.

SPEAKER_03

Well, by golly, I'll tell you.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you know? Is he a Poseidon?

SPEAKER_03

He is Men Menilus? Menilus? Oh, and uh Robert Pattinson plays Antonus. I'm sure I'm saying these all wrong. I already don't know what Zendaya is.

SPEAKER_02

Antonus is one of the uh crew hands or whatever on the on the ship.

SPEAKER_03

Tom Holland plays Telemachus.

SPEAKER_02

That's his son. That's his son, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Anne Hathaway plays Penelope, which is his wife. Zendia or Zendaya plays Athena. Oh, okay. Uh Charlie Sterin plays Circe. Isn't that one of the sirens?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe. I can't remember.

SPEAKER_03

Mia Goth plays Melentho, John Liguzama plays Eumaeus.

SPEAKER_02

Does Elliot Page play? It doesn't say Poseidon.

SPEAKER_03

Rage.

SPEAKER_02

Rage.

SPEAKER_03

Trigger.

SPEAKER_02

It doesn't it doesn't actually say. It doesn't say? No.

SPEAKER_03

A lot of the people don't have they it's just who's in it. It doesn't say who they're playing just yet.

SPEAKER_02

Hmm.

SPEAKER_03

But I'm sure it's gonna be. I mean, I'm excited for it. I'm sure it would be awesome.

SPEAKER_02

When did it say it comes out? July 17th. Pretty soon.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. We may have to do uh outside the studio on that one.

SPEAKER_02

What are the other movies that we have? We have The Spider-Man, we have this one.

SPEAKER_03

Mario Galaxy with the kiddos.

SPEAKER_02

We have Mandalorian. We got some movies coming up.

SPEAKER_01

Anywho's. So for the final segment, we're gonna be doing press play. Press play. Press play. We're gonna be talking about some of our favorite video games, some of our go-tos that we like to that we you know play over again when we get the chance. When we're not trying new stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Um like when you're bored and just man, I want to play a game.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know, like go to there's games where you're like, man, I'm gonna I'm gonna bring that I'm gonna bring that back and play it again. Play it again. So I'm gonna let Nick start us off. Yes, what do you got for us?

SPEAKER_03

I made a small list. Some of the stuff people have probably never even thought of. Some of them, Zayn, you and I are definitely gonna be able to to Yeah, you probably have some of the same ones. Exactly. First and foremost, NCAA football. I mean, yeah. I've I think I've turned on even the old ones when they stopped making them for a while. I know I I was crushed when they stopped making them, and then they just mascot NIL stuff came out, and they were like, you know, we're gonna make another one, and everyone was like, okay, well, we've only been waiting since like 2014, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, 14 was the last one until they brought it back.

SPEAKER_03

Um come on, Zane. GTA 6, or I'm sorry, five. How often have we seen out yet, but yeah, you're right. I have to change that. Change that in my notes. Um, but I mean, how many times have we been bored? And even if we don't even play the new missions, we just fly planes and drive around and show off each other's terrorized the police stuff. Police department. Exactly. Um, I mean, it's just it's just one of those games. Like I know some people have are tired of it because it's been out for so long that they're like, I'm not even gonna do the new missions, I'm just waiting for the new one to come out. But as far as replayability, the online portion is a blast. I don't even think I've ever played very much of the story.

SPEAKER_02

It's always been I don't think any of the story I've played.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh dang. Unfortunately.

SPEAKER_01

You should because their stories are always like a movie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's like uh Red Dead.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, it's still Rockstar Games, but I didn't write that one down, but that's I don't know if you guys would add that one. I love Red Dead. I like that people are still making clips and memes and stuff online of the guy, and they're actually talking about making a movie. That'd be cool. I've heard Timothy Olafin has been mentioned. Oh. Um then one that is just I just found it on Game Pass, and it's like when you're when you're in a bad mood or you just need to fight something, fight Night Champion for Xbox 360. I actually have that downloaded. It takes up no space. You can find all of your favorite fighters, and you can just beat people up. And I mean, I've played the story, but where you make your own character, but I like using Manny Pacquiao and just beating the crap out of people when I'm in a bad mood. And then this newer one we're actually gonna do a segment on later on down the road, or at least we keep talking about it. We need to is ready or not. I'm not gonna get into it too much because I want to have plenty of information for our for our segment, but if you haven't played it, play it. It's it's a lot of fun, it's it's it has really good replay value. Every every time you play is a new experience. Yeah. And I love playing with these guys. My brother, my brother Matt's been playing with us, some of my brother's friends. It's just uh you can have a team of up to five, so I mean, anybody you put on there is whether it doesn't matter if they're good at at um Call of Duty or Battlefield, like it's just it's a little bit different experience, and it's it's a blast. But what do you what do you guys have? I'm curious to see what what you guys came up with, Jordan.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, oh Migo? Sure. Well, I'm I mean, I've been thinking about it since we kind of started talking about doing this. Hit us you computer weeb PC guy, PC Master Race. So like I just started thinking of like you know, games that I run back to. Um so I'm I like a lot of shooter games, but like you mentioned like NCAA, like those are just so easy to pick up and just play again. Um I think for me, and just because I saw it on uh Steam was uh Rainbow Six, Vegas 2. Oh yeah, dude, that game is like for like growing up, like when it when it first came out, played the crap out of it.

SPEAKER_01

And dude, it was probably one of the first games that had like super customized customization, like customizability. Yeah, and just custom ability. I don't know, I don't know what the word I'm looking for. Customization it was customized, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We're out here making our own words. Custom ability, customizability.

SPEAKER_01

Customization ability, but yeah, where you could change your your vest, your outfit, you know, the whole the whole getup.

SPEAKER_02

It was kind of one of the starters of that. Oh yeah. Um besides Ghost Recon, but that's still Tom Clancy, yeah. Um and just Tom really any Tom Clancy game, like I can just pick up and just what was the one that we played, Zane, on the on the island with Ghost uh Breakpoint.

SPEAKER_03

Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Where you're like fighting that govern or that not government, but you're where John Burnthal's the bad guy? Yes, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's it's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Okay. I love the Ghost Recons, the way they've gone with them with the open world, Wildlands. Honestly, I still think Wildlands is better than Breakpoint.

SPEAKER_03

Isn't there one that you could think they would fight the Predator?

SPEAKER_01

That's Wildlands. That was in Wildlands. It was like a DLC that came out where it was called The Jungle Moved. Yeah. I remember me and Jordan weren't we just we were just playing, right? And then all of a sudden we were like, What is this? And we like we didn't even know it came out. We didn't know it was coming out. You're like, we're gonna just do these submissions and walk around the yeah. We went and it was like, she was like, oh, and she said something. I was like, wait, and then and then it made them like and I was like that. Yeah, we had the freaking fights because I was thinking like the same game?

SPEAKER_02

I was thinking the whole time that was going, I was like, dude, this is like predator vibes. Yeah, it's like jungle and stuff, and all of a sudden she said, Oh, the jungle moved, and then the theme from predator came on, it's like oh you can see the eyes like glow.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and you have to like track him, and then he like And then killing him was horror.

SPEAKER_03

She's like Yeah, I tried doing it by myself and lost like 76 straight times.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was a very hard mission, but if you went by yourself, yeah. Tom Clancy games, those are those are really playable for me. I could just go back to them. Um I think like one one shooter, I would say it's probably the Rainbow Six, the Vegas series. Um wasn't a big fan of Siege. Um, I haven't played it too too Call of Duty-ish for me.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm surprised. I thought you were gonna do one of your space games that you always talk about. It's like like Star Citizens.

SPEAKER_02

Um anything that Bethesda makes is fun. It's always I that's why I said I like I have such a hard time.

SPEAKER_01

I go back to Fallout and Skyrim a lot. Like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Yep. I go I go back to those a lot and we can replay through them.

SPEAKER_02

Thousands of hours on Skyrim.

SPEAKER_03

Just a side, just a sidestep. You guys are big computer guys. What's your favorite game for the mods?

SPEAKER_02

For the mods?

SPEAKER_03

Um little honestly through a little wrinkle in there for you.

SPEAKER_01

One of my favorites for the mods is Grand Theft Auto.

SPEAKER_02

Grand Theft Auto.

SPEAKER_01

Not on this PC, but my PC before this, I had I had a I had basically redone the whole game, and so like all the car brands were real. Like I put the real cars in there. I swapped out all the billboards and uh restaurants and everything for the real versions. Like instead of up and at them, it was in and out. Like the three the three uh signs that hang on those skyscrapers in in LA. I went it the guy would periodically he would update the mod for whatever they had hanging currently in LA. Oh wow, and so like I would update it periodically. Um the street names, like when I instead of turning on to Vinewood Boulevard, it would say it would come up at the bottom, it tells you what street you're turning on to. It would say Hollywood Boulevard. Like I went through and did it change the Hollywood sign? Uh yes, I changed the Hollywood sign, I changed the the stars. You could actually find the stars and it actually had the real people's names. That's hilarious. Like, I can't even imagine the people that went and spent the time to do the graphics for all that, you know, the mods for it. Just because I'd be crazy. It's crazy, but yeah, I I freaking modded the hell out of that game.

SPEAKER_02

For mods like when I think like I originally went to like the Bethesda ones because they came out with the consoles.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and they're so it's simple.

SPEAKER_02

That was my first experience with like an additional mod. Yeah, um, but then when I got to PC, like everything's moddable with PC.

SPEAKER_03

Um it's just why I figured I'd ask because I mean obviously the games are great, the updates are great, but but and and sometimes the updates are or the the mods are too much.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I but I know you guys know your way around PC games, and if there is uh there were mods that were useful and added to the play to the playability about it, I don't think that's like Jordan said you can mod pretty much anything on PC, whereas on console, they the way they did it for console, it it with Bethesda it made it like easy. You just download the mod and you can click install.

SPEAKER_03

Because if you remember, Zayn, when NCA came out, you could download stuff that would that would allow you to have all the player names.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Remember? Yep. I mean, even and and a little thing like that would make would go a bit a long way with us, but I was just curious to pick your guys' brains as far as like interesting or usable mods that weren't over the top ridiculous, or it was just like, okay, this isn't fun because obviously I'm playing against modded people, but stuff stuff that you would you guys would think about and things I like this one for the mods because the mods really added to the game away from play against modded people because usually when you mod something, if the other people, if you they don't if they don't have the mods, you can't usually play together. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So one game that's like that it was uh Expeditions. We haven't played that in a while. We should we should get back to the off-roading game, yes. Yeah, that game's tough. Yes, but whenever I would find a cool vehicle, because the mods are free, they're built into the game. I would have to I would download it, I would literally take a picture of it and send it to Jordan and Kyle so they could download the same one because if they didn't have it installed, we couldn't play together. Even if they weren't gonna use it. Yeah. If they didn't have that vehicle installed, then they wouldn't be able to be able to use it. But one game I uh there's the games I'm surprised you didn't say, Jordan, and maybe they're not available on PC, and maybe that's why you didn't say it. But the the old Lord of the Rings games. Yeah, well, I have a I have a GameCube actually. Actually. Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Um and that's what I was thinking of like it's like it's I play 'em, but I don't play 'em at the same time. Like it's not one that I just go to.

SPEAKER_01

Oh I have to be in like those I should bring up my game cube. Those are so fun. Yeah, they are fun. I remember the to me, I don't know why. And it I don't even think I was playing on I wasn't playing on the easiest difficulty, but I know I wasn't playing on the hard. I was probably like in in the middle. But when you have to fight the ghost king, yeah, that one is actually hard. That battle was harder than fighting at the very end of of you know at the black gate. Fighting all the waves. Yes, I was like, I don't know why.

SPEAKER_03

So I was gonna ask you guys, Jordan, speaking of old consoles, um, remember Zayn when they when they added on Game Pass GoldenEye? Oh yeah. Yes. That was cool. Same graphics, it was just you know a little cleaner. Yeah. I remember replaying those levels or playing against each other was kind of cool.

SPEAKER_02

Did you do your list yet, Zayn? You haven't done your list.

SPEAKER_03

Your list is done.

SPEAKER_01

Your list. I'm up. Sorry, I got off topic. No, it's okay. Um so definitely for me, yeah. Grand Theft Auto 6 is definitely on there in CAA Five NHL Oh, did I say six again? Yeah, you did six. It's five, I did two. Five. We're just so excited. Grand Theft Auto 5. Grand Theft Auto 5, the you know, the one that's already out. That's been out since 2013. Golly. Stood in line outside of GameStop back then back in the day to get it on Xbox 360.

SPEAKER_03

And then we had it on the new Xbox, and then we had like the remastered Xbox Series X version. Remember? Yep. That was awesome. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What else? Um Red Dead's on my list. I I'd like to go back and play Assassin's Creed 3. That was my favorite one.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, the Merry Revolution? Revolutionary War, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think they're remastering that one. They did. I haven't.

SPEAKER_02

They already have, yeah. Yeah. Nice. Black Flag is one of my favorite ones too. As far as the Assassin's Creed series goes.

SPEAKER_01

I haven't played that one. So I stopped it three pirates, and Zayn hasn't played it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah. Not a real pirate. Take his flag. Take his flag.

SPEAKER_01

But the I have the I think because I I hadn't finished three yet the first time I played it, and Kyle ruined it for me. He was like, Yeah, it sucks they killed, you know. Spoiler spoiler alert in case you haven't played it, but it sucks they killed off Desmond, and I'm like, What? And he's like, You hadn't finished the game. I was like, no, and then I didn't even finish, I didn't I didn't touch it for like a year, and then I finally went and finished it. But yeah, I was I was heartbroken. And so I I don't think I've really played any since. I played a little bit of the Egyptian one. Umrigins with my buddy Bobby. Yeah. He had it on PlayStation, and so we were playing it when I was over there visiting him one time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I haven't played I've played Origins and I played Odyssey.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And I haven't played any since then. Odyssey and Origins were good. Um but still Black Flag. Black Flag and three are still my top.

SPEAKER_01

So one and another game that I go that I like to go back and I'll every once in a while I'll play through the whole thing again is Hogwarts Legacy.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I played that all the way through one time and I haven't played it since. They've got another one come in the works, and I think that the newer one's supposed to be closer to the time period of the books. Yep. Um, but I'm excited for that. Just the fact that you could just open world Hogwarts and Hogsmead and is it gonna be like Cope Co-op or anything like that?

SPEAKER_02

Like you can play with friends, because that thing is. Like I get it, but I was like, I want to I want to do stuff like that with my buddies, you know? Yeah, I mean that's especially since you're making a character.

SPEAKER_01

And I see I felt that way with Fallout, and then Fallout brought in a multiplayer, but I don't like the way they did it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Fallout kind of was not good.

SPEAKER_01

They they almost they tried to force people to play together. Yeah. Yeah. And I didn't because initially there was no NPCs, it was just creatures. Right. Or robots, and so you couldn't you had the only way to interact with other people was to other interact with other players. Initially, you had to sell you could only sell stuff to other players, like you had to set up a shop at your camp. Right. And I I just didn't like the way they tried to force people to play together. I wish they would have done, and I'm gonna go back to it, Ghost Recon. The way Ghost Recon does their multiplayer, I think, is one of the best ways to do multiplayers where you have a storyline that's in an open world environment. Like if they did one for for the Elder Scrolls for with the new Elder Scrolls 6 coming out, if they did it like more like Ghost Recon where it's jump in, jump out, so I could be in the middle of doing my quest, and then you can join me, join in, and then join me on my quest. Right. It doesn't, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_03

It's not like you know, but if you jump out, it's it ends the whole thing. No, it like well if he if that you could just keep on going even if I'm out. Yes, right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, if you jump out, like yeah, that was the that was when Ghost Recon did that with Wildlands. I think that's that's the way most multiplayers should be if they're gonna be in open worlds.

SPEAKER_03

I remember that too, because one of us would have to work or leave or something, and and you just keep carry on with the mission, try to do it by yourself. Yep. And it was they need you know what they need to bring back? This is going off the beaten path a little bit, is like a midnight club or like those old style racing games that you I know they have different you know, wanted and all the other ones, but I just feel like they need a good old-fashioned tuner racing game where you can design the car from the from the ground up.

SPEAKER_02

Forza Horizon's not really like that, though. I know it's some of them are like too open world, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Forza Horizon, I don't think the open world's too open world. I think it's not video gamey enough. It's still they're they're closer. Forza Horizon is closer to a regular Forza game where it's a racing sim. Right. Where it's like the gr the you know, the driving handling is more realistic and stuff. And I I mean it's fun, and I'm I'm gonna get the new one because I'm excited because it's in Japan. Yeah. And I think we should all play that together. Like we'll just go through it. Yeah. Um, especially I saw they might have the Gundam in there.

SPEAKER_03

Oh I remember you said that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um But I think that, yeah, like the Midnight Club, Need for Speed. And they there was a Need for Speed that I played um with some buddies, and I'm trying to think of what it was called. It was more re it was more recent. No. Yeah, and it's funny, I played it with Vince, Alvarado. He's the one that was. He was like, You should get you should get this. And I was like, okay. I don't remember, I'm gonna see if I can find it on my Xbox thing, because I know that's what I had it on. My games in my library.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm like, I'm surprised we didn't mention any racing games, did you? Yeah, I didn't. I haven't played any in a long time.

SPEAKER_03

I used to really be into those tuner racing games, and then I kind of just got out of it.

SPEAKER_02

Forza Horizon's fun.

SPEAKER_03

Um because I always like that it was cars, it was it wasn't just super cars. Yeah. If you wanted to build like I had a Tiburon back in the day, I built a Hyundai Tiburon in the game. You know what I mean? I I've done the same thing in GTA. I've built up cars like I had a Gladiator on there, I had a Tiburon on there, I had my GR on there, I built I found my Tacoma, like just I don't know. It's it just adds to it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Horizon has a very wide selection of cars. Yeah. And so it was nice about you can upgrade them all.

SPEAKER_03

Can you add like body kits and different wheels and tires and things like that?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know, wheels and tires. I don't know about like body kits. I know it has a lot of them, but not like all not everything out there, obviously.

SPEAKER_03

And that's something that was always fun about the old timey racing games, is that you could modify your car exactly how you wanted to, and sometimes even get the graphics from different movies and things like that.

SPEAKER_01

And that's the thing that's the need for speed heat. Heat speed and that that one that just like most of the need for speeds and the midnight clubs, you they like you're talking about people could go in like on the computer and design basically a pre-done wrap for your car essentially, and you could go and search for them, and that they would have some of the ones from like movies where you could get them and put them on the cars. Yeah, yeah. Um, but yeah, need for speed heat. I played that one a lot. I still play it every once in a while. I'll I'll get on there and drive around. Um one of the one of the games I didn't I didn't think about mentioning is Far of the Far Cries.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I never played Far Cries. I played Far. I think maybe I've played one of them.

SPEAKER_01

They're I started with two, and two, you like you're in Africa and you get like malaria, and so you're like trying to take pills every night. You have to take pills for it every once in a while. It's kind of funny. That's funny, but yeah, the Far Cry. They're good. That was one of my first open world game experiences, too. Like that, you know, because we hadn't had a new GTA. It was, I think it was even I was played that before four came out. It was like after between San Andres and Four or one of those, you know.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Just cause was a game that was like that too. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Open world. That the grapple, yeah, grappling hook to anything. Yeah, those were that was fun.

SPEAKER_03

But alright, guys. I think that's all we got for today.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What do we what's in our cup today? So what's in our cup? The coffee I brewed today is Black Rifle Coffee Company, and it's Kodiak Attack. Little mention. Little mention to Jordan's call sign.

SPEAKER_02

For those of you that are the Thetos. I had the I had the Infinity Gauntlet with the rings, but they're gone. I've already drank it all.

SPEAKER_01

The stones.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, sorry. Whatever it is.

SPEAKER_01

Nick's got a special cream where he's gonna mention.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I do have to plug uh Chobani chocolate strawberry. Oh, dude, Chobani make some good stuff. I thought it was it was supposed to be a limited run, and now apparently they're just making it full time. And they have if you go to um, I don't know about Albertson's, but Walmart has it. They have a bunch of flavors. Zane, they have a coconut version. Oh, nice. You have to get all over that. Might have to try that out. But it's I like their yogurt.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I suppose they have the yogurt that there's like a flips. Uh no, uh, it's like a drink. Oh, yes. Me and Truett get those all the time. It's just kind of like a little little uh breakfast thing.

SPEAKER_01

They're not caffeinated, but maybe we should do that for one our next one. Yeah, it's a good one.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, it's just like little drinks, it's right out, and they're good. Even though I might sue because one time like Truit was drinking, he's like, What the he pulls this like big piece of plastic that he was in his thing. That's weird. What the it was like the liner of the like it came out like on the inside though. Gross weird. But anyways.

SPEAKER_03

Wow. Well, thanks a lot, Travani.

SPEAKER_02

Either way, you're getting sued.

SPEAKER_01
